Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God
• This coming Friday, January 6th is the Feast of the Epiphany, a holy day of obligation. The Vigil Mass will be on Thursday evening at 6.30pm and Masses on Friday itself will be at 10.00am, 11.30am and 6.30pm.
• There will be no evening Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until this coming Thursday, January 5th 2012. Then, the period of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament will recommence from 8.00pm until 10.00pm seven evenings a week.
• The 2012 parish calendar is available at the Church doors. We wish all parishioners, and readers of this blog a very happy new year!
• You are asked to please return the envelopes for the Christmas offerings, which are used for the salaries of the priests, to the Church on the Sundays of January.
• Please pray for the souls of those who died recently:
- Bridget Lee, Corrib Park, whose funeral took place here in the Church during the week,
- Martin O’Connor, Coogan Park, whose funeral also took place here in the Church during the week,
- Thomas Folan, Mervue, brother of Paddy Folan, Coogan Park, and of Noreena Doyle, Coogan Park,
- Teresa O’Kelly-Nowaczyk, sister of Aileen Giles, Inishannagh Park.
