Creideamh Festival of Faith is here!!!

For two weeks starting on the 4th July, a number of parishes across Galway will host a festival that will draw Christians, young and old from around Ireland and abroad.

Creideamh 09 - will include.

The Festival will include concerts, practical projects, café discussion, parish mission nights, street outreach – as well as opportunities for quiet prayer and joyous celebration of the Eucharist. As one of the organisers explains,

“We want to help people come alive in their faith, to make a real connection with Our Lord Jesus Christ…. And give them a warm welcome to the parish community”.

Creideamh 09 - is a response to the Church’s call for a ‘New Evangelisation’

Creideamh 09 has been initiated by Tine, a Catholic Leaders Network and is being carried out in partnership with Parishes in Galway and has the full support of the Bishop of Galway, Very Rev Martin Drennan DD.

I wish every blessing on Creideamh 09. It is a courageous venture , but then the one thing we cannot afford to do, is to do nothing. I am very sure the Lord will bless our efforts with great fruit.
