Mission Month
Wednesday the 1st October marks the beginning of Mission Month, the annual worldwide Catholic celebration of missionaries and the work they undertake. There are currently 2,100 Irish missionaries working in 80 countries throughout the world. The Society for the Propagation of the Faith organises the Mission Sunday collection in Churches countrywide, which this year will take place on October 19th. October provides the opportunity for each of us to support our missionary brothers and sisters allowing them to continue bringing spiritual and material assistance to those who need it most.
