The beautiful Feast of Candlemas recalls the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, forty days after his birth. We, like Simeon and Anna, are called to be light bearers in an often dark and confused world. Candlemas is also World Day of Consecrated Life.
Saint Blaise was a Bishop in Armenia in the Fourth Century invoked against ailments of the throat. Throats will be blessed at all Masses on the Feast day, Sunday 3rd.
